This weekend was pretty packed for me. On Friday I drove to Ian’s house, which took a good 4 hours because of roadworks and queues, which was very irritating but better than the almost 6 hours it took last time. On Saturday we went to meet my sister at Gloucester Quays Outlet shopping centre, which we were hoping had improved since our last trip. It hadn’t. I did manage to find two skirts that I had wanted when they were full price from Next, though, which definitely improved the day. They had been £30 each, but I got both for £6. They need taking in a bit, but it was a bargain.
Sunday was the really action packed day, though. We went to do this:
and also this:
And also? This:
and basically all manner of things, about 40ft above the ground until we ended up looking like this:
(both of us need to work on our graceful landings. This stuff is very itchy, by the way.)
(there are only photos of me doing zip lines, but I did do all the other stuff too.)
The photos make it look really close to the ground, but it really wasn’t.
We were really lucky because the weather had been awful Friday and Saturday but then it was gorgeous on Sunday, perfect weather for doing Go Ape!
It was our anniversary on Sunday (Go Ape was my present) so we had a date night and I wore some beautiful shoes Ian bought me a while ago:
I think they’re called ‘Aries’, but they were from Schuh last year. The dress looks orange-y here but its actually a really bright fuschia, it was a bargain from the Topshop sale last year.
Not the best picture ever.

You look lovely in that photo, and I am VERY envious of your shoes! I’d love some two-tone shoes like that, must start looking for a pair x
Thank you! I love them. It was the first time I’d worn them and they were actually really comfortable. x
Adorable outfit! Love the shoes. Looks like something I’d wear.
thanks =)
Happy anniversary! And what better way to celebrate than with beautiful shoes
We have a Go Ape near us which Terry is desperate to do: I’m too much of a coward!
Thanks! I thought it was a good way to celebrate =). It is really fun, there were a couple of times when I was scared to step off the platform, but it does make a good day out.
Love the shoes, adore the dress!
The back of the dress is actually the interesting part, only I forgot to get a photo of it, I’ll have to do that one day!
